This morning's focus will be the churchyard in Giggleswick, where we will use a guided walk brochure in an attempt to identify the many species of moss growing there. The church porch offers shelter, if needed, for lunch.
We will combine this focus with an option of walks in the area. For those wanting to spend longer in the churchyard, or to just have a short walk, there will be an option to walk via footpaths and river bank to Settle. For others we will walk up through Lord's Wood, onto the hill near Stackhouse. The exact distance will be judged to suit the participants and the weather, but will be about 2-3 miles.
There are toilets Settle and Giggleswick, and more facillites and cafes in Settle.
