MORECAMBE PROMENADE & HEST BANK

Morecambe Bay is renowned for the quality and variety of wading birds feeding on the foreshore, especially in the winter months. We intend to spend some time on the promenade at Morecambe to scan the mudflats left by the receding tide. Then we will travel a bit further along the bay to Hest Bank, which is another good area for waders. Warm, waterproof clothing is advised in case of inclement weather. Binoculars and telescopes would be useful.
