About Us

BEES (Bradford Environmental Education Service) is the environmental department of City of Bradford YMCA.

We offer a broad range of environmental education opportunities to young people, individuals, community groups, schools and businesses; enabling and inspiring people to make a positive contribution to their local environment, develop skills and explore the natural environment. BEES has been delivering an environmental education service in the Bradford District since 1985.
BEES is just one department of City of Bradford YMCA.

The City of Bradford YMCA offers a range of provision from short courses up to full time programmes, and support services that are designed to meet the needs of children, young people and families in need of extra support. We particularly specialise in working with challenging children and young people, including young offenders (those at risk) and children or young people who are very disengaged. Wherever possible we will work holistically with whole families and in partnership with other involved agencies and services. We work with Young People aged 8-25

Current services include

  • Construction training for 16-19 year olds,
  • Prince's Trust Team,
  • Play and Learn Zone 8-13 year olds at risk,
  • Ys UP alternative education service.
