Old Moor RSPB Reserve and Adwick Washlands

Dearne Valley

We will return to one of our favourite reserves at this time of year when good numbers of golden plover will be gathering.  They provide a spectacular sight more especially when the sun is shining.  First of all we will make a short visit to Adwick Washlands, a site with pools and meadow managed by the RSPB and only 10 minutes away from the visitor centre.  Admission is free for RSPB members & a charge for non-RSPB members.  Café and toilet facilities on site.
