Sprotbrough Flash

SE536 013

It is ten years since we visited Sprotbrough Flash. This reserve, a SSSI, is a mosaic of wetland, ancient and more recent woodland and grassland based on magnesian limestone in the Don Gorge. A good variety of bird life should be seen from the hides and Spring plants such as cowslips and early purple orchids should be in flower. The paths are flat but may be muddy.  Refreshments at local pub. Toilets available.
