Westminster Primary

In June 09 a group of YBS volunteers kindly came along to prepare an area at the entrance to the school for future planting  as a 'sensory garden' - in practical terms this meant lots of hard work, digging, uprooting, grafting and generally scratching about with some troublesome shrubs.

Pupils took part in sessions measuring and mapping the area and looking at ideas for a sensory garden. Others planted the area, looking at the sensory features of the plants, discussing why they were chosen and where they should be planted.

The whole school has been involved in a bulb planting day.
