Thorp Perrow Arboretum

North Yorkshire

The 85 acre Arboretum is a delight to visit, particularly in spring or autumn. Our last visit was in November 2008 when the trees were at their most spectacular with autumn tints. Walking is mostly on the level and there is a tea-room, toilets and a plant sales area near the entrance.

The Falcons of Thorp Perrow, situated at the far corner of the Arboretum is worth visiting; they put on flying displays twice a day usually (check times), when you can get close up to the birds. Bring a camera. Entrance cost £6.30 (group rate).
