The Spen Valley Greenway is a long distance bridleway stretching from Low Moor, Bradford to Dewsbury, following the track of an old railway line. The walk will be a linear one of approx. 4 ½ miles from Bradford to Heckmondwike. The surface is good and the gradient is slightly downhill. The minibus will park at Woodlands Cricket Club, which is off Cleckheaton Rd. (A638), where toilets facilities are available. In Heckmondwike we will make use of the facilities at Morrison’s supermarket. Thereafter anyone who wishes to walk further can continue on the Greenway towards Dewsbury.
Arrangements will be made for the minibus to return people to Bradford at a set time. A few car passengers can be accommodated.
