Are you interested in becoming a Volunteer Minibus Driver?

We are looking to recruit a volunteer driver to support the BEES Wildlife Field Visits.

BEES Wildlife Field Visit Group is organised and led by a group of dedicated volunteers. They devise a programme of visits throughout the year to explore wildlife rich sites, varying from local Bradford sites, places across Yorkshire and further afield. The visits are a great way to learn about birds, flowers and other plants.

We are not just looking for a driver, but someone who is interested in the trips in their own right. The driver will be with the group through the day so will need to be interested in wildlife and enjoy the outdoors.

We would ask anyone who is interested to attend a couple of trips before committing to driving. More info about past and future trips can be viewed here.

We are looking for a fairly long term commitment as we need to know it is worth inducting a driver and paying for the midas test. However we are not looking for weekly commitment, but to add to a pool of drivers.

Previous experience driving a minibus is desirable. D1 category on driving license essential. The volunteer will have to pass a MIDAS driving assessment.

BEES, and the minibus, are based at Culture Fusion on Thornton Road. This is where volunteer drivers would report.

Please contact the office if you would like to to discuss this opportunity.
