Task Reports

We will continue with a variety of tasks, including preparing the site for a building/ repairing steps to improve access for Belle Vue Girls and cleaning old tree guards ready to be collected for recycling in May.

We will be clearing and levelling site for building/continuing to repair steps to improve access for Belle Vue Girls/cleaning old tree guards ready to be collected for recycling in May.

Tasks include general site maintenance, including feeding the trees and coppicing.

We will carry out some woodland path maintenance and general site tasks

Tasks will include planting shrubs and bulbs to provide nectar for pollinating insects at times when food can be scarce, to help biodiversity in the park. We will also plant some holly to infill gaps in a previously planted area around the perimeter of the park.

We will be nearing completion of our tree planting project at Wyke.

We will be continuing to repair some steps to improve access for Belle Vue Girls, using timber from felled or fallen trees found on site.

Unfortunately, as the site is already very boggy, we have decided to cancel, as the heavy snow and rain will make it too wet to plant in.

We will be continuing to plant the remaining 750 native trees that were heeled in from the previous winter.
